AIA Lunch & Learns

As part of SIPA’s ongoing effort to expand the awareness of SIPs in the architectural and engineering community, SIPA has recently updated its American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education course, Designing With Structural Insulated Panels (Course Number: SIP01B).  Updates include the new Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) Construction Animation video.  The resulting presentation is more interactive, and promises to be effective at communicating the benefits of SIPs to design professionals.

Hosting AIA Continuing Education presentations at architectural firms is a great way to interface with design professionals and get specified in commercial projects.  I encourage you to become a registered presenter and take advantage of this opportunity to promote SIPs in the architectural and engineering community.

Important Presenter Registration Information-
If you are a SIPA member but are not a registered presenter, and would like to start pitching SIPs to architects in your area, you must first learn the AIA presentation guidelines by viewing a training video.  Email lindsay@sips.org to request the Train the Trainer CD.   Once you are familiar with the presentation guidelines and credit reporting, sign the Quality Commitment Statement and fax it to (210) 408-6767.

If you would like to schedule a Lunch & Learn for your architectural firm, follow the link to send Lindsay Grimmer an email lindsay@sips.org.  Please include the name of your company, location, phone number and email address.  She will then put you in touch with companies in your area.
